Gardening and Canning

2010 was a outstanding year for gardening and canning efforts in Manzanita Village.  Peach and plum trees took the prize with their remarkable yields.  Community members worked together to preserve the summer fruits and vegetables. Village members enjoyed peach salsa, plum sauce and jam, peach butter and applesauce well into fall and winter.
